Responsibilities
The Account Officer (AO) acts as the primary liaison between BAV and its borrowers. The core duties include:
- Prospecting and Partner Acquisition: Identify and approach potential women entrepreneurs from low‑ to middle‑income backgrounds who are interested in starting a new venture or expanding an existing one.
- Group Formation: Organize prospective borrowers into productive groups of approximately ten members, fostering peer support and collective responsibility.
- Loan Disbursement: Process and deliver micro‑loans for working capital, ensuring that all documentation complies with BAV’s internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Business Coaching: Provide regular training on basic accounting, inventory management, marketing, and customer service to help borrowers run sustainable businesses.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with each group, acting as a mentor and problem‑solver.
- Repayment Collection: Conduct bi‑weekly collection meetings, record payments accurately, and follow up on any delinquencies with a supportive approach.
- Reporting: Submit weekly activity reports, loan performance data, and field observations to the regional supervisor.
- Community Outreach: Participate in local events, women’s forums, and financial literacy workshops to raise BAV’s profile and attract new partners.
In addition to these core tasks, the AO is expected to continuously seek ways to improve service delivery, suggest product enhancements, and contribute to the overall growth of the micro‑finance portfolio in Majalengka.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 32 years old.
- Gender: Female.
- Experience: No prior experience required; fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are welcome.
- Key Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic marketing and sales orientation.
- Problem‑solving mindset and ability to think on your feet.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple groups simultaneously.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones and common office software.
- Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, empathy toward low‑income borrowers, and a proactive attitude.
All applicants will undergo a two‑stage interview process (HR interview followed by a user interview). The recruitment process is free of charge.
