Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate a wide variety of desserts according to the brand’s visual standards and portion guidelines.
- Develop new flavor concepts, test recipes, and document formulations for seasonal and promotional items.
- Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and front‑of‑house teams to coordinate service timing and ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients, place orders, and manage waste to keep costs under control.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior kitchen assistants on dessert preparation and plating techniques.
- Respond promptly to customer feedback, adjusting recipes or presentation to meet specific dietary needs or taste preferences.
- Participate in daily shift briefings, report any equipment issues, and assist in opening and closing duties as required.
- Document daily production reports, including quantities produced, waste generated, and any deviations from standard recipes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging ingredients, and modern plating aesthetics to keep the menu innovative.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.
