We are seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Cashier (Kasir) to join our fast‑growing retail team at the Kalideres branch in West Jakarta. This position plays a critical role in delivering a seamless checkout experience, handling transactions accurately, and representing the brand with professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a high level of integrity, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑traffic environment.
Responsibilities
- Process all cash, credit, and electronic transactions efficiently while adhering to company policies and financial controls.
- Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area, ensuring that all merchandise is properly displayed and that promotional materials are up‑to‑date.
- Provide friendly, attentive service to every customer, answering product inquiries and guiding them through the purchasing process.
- Verify the authenticity of bills and manage cash drawer balances, performing end‑of‑day reconciliations with zero discrepancies.
- Collaborate with store staff, including sales associates and inventory managers, to resolve pricing issues, stock shortages, or customer complaints.
- Assist in inventory counts, restocking shelves, and preparing promotional displays during slower periods.
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, scanners, and other retail technology with confidence.
- Work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
- Adhere to health, safety, and security standards, including proper handling of cash and sensitive customer information.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Open to candidates of any gender.
- Prior experience in a cashier or retail environment is preferred, though enthusiastic newcomers are also considered.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
- High level of honesty, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure, especially during busy shopping periods.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and familiarity with retail management systems (e.g., POS software).
- Flexible schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
