Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Cashier (Kasir) to join the vibrant team at Infinix Gress Mall in Gresik. This frontline role is essential for delivering a seamless shopping experience, handling financial transactions, and supporting the overall efficiency of our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in cash handling, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of integrity while interacting with customers and fellow staff members.
Responsibilities
- Process all customer payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic wallets.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system and cash register with speed and precision, ensuring every transaction is logged correctly.
- Maintain daily cash balances, perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliations, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Record and file all financial transactions in the store’s accounting system, supporting accurate bookkeeping and audit trails.
- Prepare and submit daily sales reports, highlighting key metrics such as total revenue, transaction volume, and any refunds or voids.
- Assist in inventory control by monitoring the security of merchandise, reporting suspicious activity, and ensuring that high‑value items are safeguarded.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to all shoppers, answering product‑related questions and guiding customers through the checkout process.
- Collaborate with floor staff to resolve customer complaints, process returns, and manage exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on cash handling best practices, fraud prevention, and customer service excellence.
- Uphold the mall’s brand standards by keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and well‑stocked with receipts, bags, and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a cash handling or retail cashier role.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a trustworthy attitude toward handling cash and confidential information.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, with a schedule of Monday – Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle occasional heavy merchandise.
