Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Cashier to join the vibrant team at The Park Mall Solo. This front‑line position plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless and friendly shopping experience for our visitors. As the first point of contact, you will manage transactions, assist customers, and uphold the high service standards that define our retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process cash, credit, and mobile payments using the mall’s POS system while adhering to security protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve minor complaints with professionalism and a smile.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, performing daily reconciliation and reporting any discrepancies.
- Perform end‑of‑day cash counts, prepare deposits, and submit detailed transaction reports to the supervisor.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including verifying that all equipment is functioning correctly and the checkout area is tidy.
- Support inventory management by recording sales data, flagging low‑stock items, and communicating with the back‑of‑house team.
- Promote ongoing promotions, loyalty programs, and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout station, ensuring that receipts, bags, and promotional materials are well stocked.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members across various departments to ensure smooth store operations and a cohesive customer experience.
- Continuously update knowledge of the latest POS software features and best practices through on‑the‑job training.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a cashier in the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector is highly preferred, though candidates with strong customer service backgrounds are welcome.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate transactions accurately and handle monetary exchanges with confidence.
- Proficiency with modern cashier systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with a diverse customer base.
- Strong sense of discipline, honesty, and a neat, professional appearance at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
