Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Kepala Gudang – Manajer Operasional Gudang to lead our warehouse operations. This pivotal role ensures that inventory is accurately tracked, stored safely, and moved efficiently across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on warehouse experience with strong leadership and analytical skills to maintain optimal stock levels and support the broader logistics network.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all stock within the warehouse, guaranteeing accuracy and availability at all times.
- Implement systematic shelving and labeling methods to simplify periodic stock‑taking (opname) and reduce errors.
- Monitor inbound and outbound movements, verifying quantities, conditions, and documentation for every transaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage locations to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal space utilization.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and distribution teams to forecast demand, plan replenishment, and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancy investigations.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of precision, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, layout redesign, or technology adoption that can improve throughput.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and health‑and‑safety requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates only (as per current operational policy).
- At least 1 year of experience as a warehouse head or senior warehouse supervisor.
- Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail when handling inventory counts.
- Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to achieve targets.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with internal departments and external partners.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, willingness to learn new systems, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
- Relevant soft skills: teamwork, leadership, analytical thinking, and strong organizational abilities.
- Technical skills: inventory management, stock control, demand planning, and basic computer literacy (MS Excel or warehouse management software).
