Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Area Group Lending Manager to lead and expand our branch network in the Kabupaten Cilacap region. This senior position reports directly to the Regional Operations Director and plays a critical role in driving financial inclusion through micro‑finance and retail banking products. The successful candidate will oversee multiple branches, develop growth strategies, ensure compliance with internal SOPs, and foster strong relationships with both internal teams and the local community, including rural entrepreneurs and household heads.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 3‑5 branch offices, providing day‑to‑day operational oversight and strategic direction.
- Develop and execute comprehensive plans to achieve targets for loan disbursement volume, new customer acquisition, and portfolio performance.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities aligned with the company’s expansion roadmap.
- Ensure all branches adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular supervisory visits, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loan quality, NPL (Non‑Performing Loan) ratios, and collection efficiency.
- Oversee repayment management across branches, implementing corrective actions to keep NPL within target thresholds.
- Prepare detailed written reports summarizing branch performance, audit findings, and recommended improvement actions.
- Implement remediation measures for any deviations from SOPs, working closely with branch managers to rectify issues promptly.
- Coach and mentor Branch Managers and their staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer‑centric service.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training programs for branch personnel to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and business partners, to enhance the institution’s reputation and outreach.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in micro‑finance or 5 years in commercial banking or a financing company.
- Proven track record as a Branch Manager or equivalent leadership role within the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, assess credit risk, and drive portfolio profitability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; adept at building relationships with internal teams, customers, and community representatives.
- Result‑oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and collection targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with core banking or loan management systems.
- Willingness to work in the field, travel regularly between branches, and possess a valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
- Ability to engage effectively with rural clientele, particularly women entrepreneurs and household heads.
- Flexibility to be stationed in Kabupaten Cilacap for the duration of the assignment.
