Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Petugas Komunitas (Community Officer) to join our team in Jember, Jawa Timur. This role is pivotal in empowering low‑income women by providing hands‑on business mentorship, financial literacy, and access to micro‑financing solutions. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between our organization and the community, fostering sustainable economic growth and improving the quality of life for women entrepreneurs across the region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to assigned neighborhoods, building strong relationships with women‑owned micro‑enterprises and assessing their business needs.
- Provide personalized financial literacy training, covering budgeting, simple bookkeeping, disciplined savings practices, and effective debt management.
- Facilitate group‑based micro‑loan disbursements without collateral, ensuring transparent and fair allocation of capital.
- Monitor loan repayment schedules, offering reminders and support to keep installments on track.
- Listen attentively to client concerns, propose tailored solutions, and coordinate with internal teams for additional resources such as legal advice or market linkages.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, training sessions, and loan performance using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Organize community events, workshops, and peer‑learning circles that encourage networking and the sharing of best practices among women entrepreneurs.
- Report weekly progress to supervisors, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement.
Requirements
- Female candidates only; gender‑specific requirement aligns with our focus on women‑centered outreach.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; diplomas (D3) and bachelor’s degrees (S1) are also welcomed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for social interaction and community building.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse cultural contexts and varying client needs.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with solid organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia.
