Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly, escort them to their tables, and present menus with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, answer menu‑related questions, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Serve dishes and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Monitor tables throughout the service, refill drinks, clear plates, and respond to any additional guest requests.
- Process payments, handle cash or card transactions, and issue receipts while maintaining strict accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and resetting tables, polishing silverware, and adhering to health‑code regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate order timing, address special dietary needs, and resolve any service issues quickly.
- Assist in basic food preparation when needed, such as assembling salads or plating appetizers, leveraging basic cooking skills as a valued asset.
- Stay informed about daily specials, promotions, and menu changes to effectively communicate with guests.
- Participate in pre‑service briefings, post‑service debriefs, and ongoing training sessions to continuously improve service standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- No upper age limit; candidates of any age are encouraged to apply.
- Open to all genders.
- Zero to several years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Willingness to reside in staff accommodation (mess) for the duration of employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Strong attention to detail, disciplined work ethic, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Basic cooking knowledge is a plus, allowing the candidate to assist the kitchen when necessary.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, Monday through Sunday, from 15:00 to 01:00.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and navigate a bustling dining floor safely.
