Introduction
PT. China Fine Steel Share & PT. Fine Steel Share – a subsidiary of Shandong Fine Steel Supply Chain Co., Ltd. – is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer for Steel & Iron Products. The role focuses on selling a wide portfolio of steel plates, coils, and specialty alloys such as SS400, SPHC, SPCC, Galvanized & Galvalume coils, wear‑plates, and high‑strength pipe grades. The successful candidate will operate from our Landmark Tower office in Pluit, North Jakarta, working on‑site with customers ranging from government agencies and state‑owned enterprises to private construction firms.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across B2G, B2B, and B2C segments, leveraging an existing database of projects, contractors, and end‑users.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for key steel product lines, including SS400 plates, SPHC/ SPCC coils, wear‑plates (AR400‑AR500), and high‑strength seamless pipes.
- Prepare compelling technical presentations and proposals, using data analytics and market intelligence to demonstrate product benefits and ROI to clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Coordinate closely with the logistics, production, and quality assurance teams to guarantee on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the Indonesian steel industry to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and client site visits to strengthen brand visibility and foster long‑term relationships.
- Provide after‑sales support, addressing technical queries, warranty issues, and post‑delivery service to ensure repeat business.
- Report weekly and monthly performance metrics, including revenue, margin, and new account acquisition.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s (S1) in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of proven sales experience in the steel & iron sector with a strong track record in B2G/B2B sales.
- Extensive database of government, BUMN, and private construction projects, and established relationships with key decision‑makers.
- In‑depth knowledge of steel product specifications, applications, and industry standards in Indonesia.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to craft persuasive presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English is a plus.
- Creative mindset with the ability to design innovative marketing campaigns and sales tactics.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑changing environment.
- Valid driver’s license (SIM A or C) and willingness to travel to client sites and attend on‑site interviews.
- Male candidates only, aged 38 or younger, in good physical health to handle on‑site duties.
