Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service, ensuring compliance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory control for all kitchen supplies, monitor stock levels, and coordinate timely ordering with vendors to avoid shortages.
- Implement and enforce strict food safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with local health regulations and international best practices.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and high performance.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cooking techniques, equipment usage, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and resort management to design seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and cater to diverse guest preferences.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections, schedule preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of production yields, cost controls, and labor utilization to support budgeting and financial reporting.
- Lead the kitchen team during high‑volume periods, ensuring timely service while maintaining quality under pressure.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest feedback related to food quality, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Age: 22‑30 years.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant kitchen or hospitality experience, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
- Language: Basic English proficiency for understanding menu items and communicating with international guests.
- Commitment: Willingness to commit to a minimum of one year of continuous employment with Kimo Resort.
- Personal Attributes: Honest, disciplined, responsible, and highly motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional Conduct: No mobile phone usage during working hours and readiness to work under pressure.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating kitchen equipment and basic food preparation techniques.
- Location Flexibility: Must be prepared to be stationed on Pulau Banyak for the duration of employment.
