We are seeking a dynamic and customer‑focused individual to join our team as a Teller at the Main Branch in Sidoarjo. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional banking services, handling daily cash transactions, and representing the bank’s brand with professionalism. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, interacting directly with a diverse clientele, and will be expected to uphold the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the bank’s commitment to service.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and bill payments in strict accordance with established SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform cash handling duties, including cash counting, balancing vault drawers, and preparing daily cash reports.
- Verify customer identification and documentation to prevent fraud and comply with anti‑money‑laundering (AML) policies.
- Identify opportunities to cross‑sell bank products such as savings accounts, loan services, and digital banking solutions, referring interested customers to appropriate specialists.
- Maintain accurate transaction records in the core banking system and resolve any discrepancies swiftly.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints with empathy, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Adhere to the bank’s security protocols, ensuring safe handling of cash and confidential information.
- Participate in regular training sessions and audits to stay current with product knowledge and compliance updates.
- Work collaboratively with branch staff to achieve daily targets and maintain a high level of operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 29 years old.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a customer‑service or banking‑teller role.
- Professional appearance: Clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey information clearly.
- Personal attributes: Detail‑oriented, diligent, resilient, honest, disciplined, and capable of performing under pressure.
- Location preference: Candidates residing in or near Pati are highly preferred.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with basic banking software, cash‑handling tools, and a solid understanding of financial transaction procedures.
- Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities, active listening, problem‑solving, and a customer‑centric mindset.
