Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Tenaga Teknis Kefarmasian – Spesialis Laboratorium Farmasi to join our hospital pharmacy laboratory team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all pharmaceutical preparations and quality‑control processes meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support the delivery of optimal patient care through accurate medication compounding, rigorous testing, and efficient inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compound, and label sterile and non‑sterile medications according to strict aseptic techniques and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine quality‑control tests on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products, documenting results in laboratory information systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment such as balances, spectrophotometers, chromatography devices, and autoclaves, ensuring all instruments are validated and serviced on schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, reagents, and consumables; coordinate with the procurement department to reorder supplies while minimizing waste and expiration losses.
  • Assist in the development and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with national regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and corrective‑action reports as needed.
  • Support the pharmacy team during emergency situations, such as rapid drug preparation for critical care units, by working flexible shifts, including night and weekend schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, providing clear updates on medication status, potential delays, or any quality‑related concerns.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing evidence‑based solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMK, D3, or S1 in Pharmacy or a related pharmaceutical field.
  • High school (SMA/SMK) or equivalent is the baseline; a higher diploma or degree is strongly preferred.
  • Gender: Female candidates are encouraged to apply, in accordance with the specific staffing needs of the department.
  • At least 0‑2 years of practical experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting; fresh graduates with strong academic performance are welcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism, especially when handling controlled substances.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including Saturdays, to ensure 24‑hour laboratory coverage.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is an asset.
