We are currently looking for a talented Freelance Video Editor to join our creative team on a project‑based basis. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or a final‑year student with a strong portfolio, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for leveraging the latest AI‑driven editing tools to deliver high‑quality video assets on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assemble raw footage into engaging, informative videos that align with brand guidelines and audience expectations.
- Perform color grading, audio mixing, and basic motion‑graphics integration (titles, lower thirds, and simple animations).
- Utilize AI‑powered tools such as AI voice‑over generators, generative fill, auto‑captioning, and platforms like Adobe Firefly, Runway, or Lalal.ai to streamline workflow and enhance production value.
- Adapt content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Shorts) using both Adobe Premiere Pro for long‑form projects and CapCut Pro for quick, trend‑focused edits.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, and social media managers to ensure cohesive storytelling and consistent visual language.
- Maintain organized project files, version control, and clear documentation to facilitate easy hand‑offs and future revisions.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging video trends, platform algorithms, and new AI technologies, recommending process improvements whenever possible.
- Meet strict delivery schedules, incorporating client feedback and making timely revisions while preserving the creative vision.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; preferably pursuing or completed a degree in Communication, Visual Communication Design (DKV), Film/Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Age: Up to 28 years old; all genders are welcome.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on video editing experience, either through internships, freelance projects, or academic assignments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of edited videos – from short social media clips to longer narrative pieces.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (professional‑level editing) and CapCut Pro (quick‑turn social content).
- Experience with AI editing tools such as AI voice‑over, generative fill, auto‑captioning, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or Lalal.ai.
- Excellent storytelling instincts, understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual hierarchy.
- Detail‑oriented, creative, and able to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Residence in Surabaya with willingness to work on‑site at the office when required (WFO).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to accept constructive feedback.
