Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our growing telecommunications team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) infrastructure, monitoring network health, and providing rapid troubleshooting support. This full‑time position operates on a shift basis, offering flexible working hours to cover the 24‑hour service window required by our customers. Responsibilities
- Perform end‑to‑end activation of FTTH services, including fiber termination, equipment provisioning, and customer onboarding.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of network devices—routers, switches, and wireless access points—to quickly isolate and resolve connectivity issues.
- Configure and optimize routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, QoS) to meet service level agreements.
- Utilize PRTG Network Monitor to continuously track bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and device health, generating alerts for any anomalies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configuration changes, and incident reports in the company’s ticketing system.
- Collaborate with field engineers, customer support, and third‑party vendors to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in on‑call rotation, providing after‑hours support to ensure uninterrupted service for residential and business clients.
- Assist in the rollout of new network technologies, including Wi‑Fi 6 access points and next‑generation routing platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a technical diploma in Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) is strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in network operations, preferably within a telecom or ISP environment.
- Proficient with networking fundamentals: routing, switching, VLAN configuration, and basic firewall concepts.
- Experience with Mikrotik devices, Cisco/Juniper style routers, and managed switches.
- Familiarity with wireless access point platforms such as Ruijie, Inify, and Cambium.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a methodical approach to diagnosing complex network issues.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English, enabling clear interaction with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
