Introduction

Amartha, a leading micro‑finance and financial inclusion platform in Indonesia, is expanding its field‑operations team in the Rokan Hilir region (Bagan Sinembah, Kubu 2). We are looking for a motivated Business Partner to join our network of community‑focused agents. The role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who are eager to make a tangible impact on household economies while developing a solid foundation in credit analysis, client relationship management, and field sales.

The successful candidate will work closely with local households, identify promising borrowers, and guide them through Amartha’s lending programs. This is a field‑based position; you will spend most of your time traveling across the assigned territory, building trust with potential clients, and supporting existing members.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new potential borrowers within the assigned area, presenting Amartha’s micro‑finance solutions and encouraging enrollment.
  • Conduct in‑depth household economic assessments to understand income streams, expenses, and repayment capacity.
  • Perform field surveys and feasibility analyses on loan applications, ensuring compliance with Amartha’s underwriting policies, risk‑assessment frameworks, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare detailed recommendation reports for the internal financing committee, highlighting creditworthiness, collateral alternatives, and suggested loan terms.
  • Accompany members during weekly service meetings, providing guidance on financial literacy, repayment schedules, and business development strategies.
  • Maintain accurate field records, update the customer relationship management (CRM) system, and submit regular activity reports to the regional manager.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—product, risk, and operations—to relay market insights and suggest product enhancements tailored to the local community.
  • Participate in community events and outreach programs to raise awareness of Amartha’s mission and strengthen the brand’s presence.
  • Ensure timely collection of loan repayments, offering gentle reminders and negotiating flexible repayment plans when necessary.
  • Provide on‑the‑spot troubleshooting for members experiencing issues with their accounts or loan disbursements.

Requirements

  • Age: maximum 28 years old (the posting also mentions up to 35 years for broader eligibility).
  • Education: Minimum high school (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree (S1) is preferred.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • Must own a two‑wheel vehicle (motorcycle) for field mobility and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to build rapport with diverse community members.
  • Self‑motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in remote locations.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts, micro‑finance products, and credit analysis is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Rokan Hilir area and be flexible with work locations, including potential reassignment to other Amartha branches.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with prior field sales, community outreach, or banking experience will be considered favorably.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with performance‑based incentives tied to loan origination and collection targets.
  • Clear career progression path within Amartha’s fast‑growing regional network.
  • Weekend off (Saturday & Sunday) to support work‑life balance.
  • Company‑provided two‑wheel vehicle or transportation allowance for field duties.
  • Company‑sponsored accommodation (mess) for candidates relocating to the service area.
  • Access to continuous training programs on financial literacy, credit risk, and leadership development.
  • Health and wellness benefits in line with local labor regulations.
