Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitising of all gym zones, including workout floors, cardio areas, weight rooms, locker rooms, showers, and public restrooms.
- Inspect, wipe down, and properly store gym equipment after each use to prevent dust buildup and ensure optimal functionality.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products, notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
- Conduct periodic deep‑cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor polishing, and upholstery care according to a scheduled rota.
- Execute routine inspections during operating hours to verify that all areas meet the company’s hygiene standards and to promptly address any spills or hazards.
- Collaborate with the fitness staff to coordinate cleaning times that minimise disruption to members while maintaining a spotless environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of cleaning activities, equipment checks, and any incidents that require further attention.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals, personal protective equipment, and waste disposal procedures.
- Assist in special events or promotional activities by preparing the venue and ensuring rapid clean‑up post‑event.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, cleaning services, or a related field; experience in a gym or fitness centre is a plus.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness standards, honesty, discipline, and responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, pressure washers) and understanding of proper chemical dilution.
