Introduction

Our team is expanding and we are looking for a dedicated Senior Cake Decorating Specialist to lead our decorative artistry, mentor junior bakers, and ensure every confection reflects our high standards of quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute custom cake decorations for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and themed occasions, translating client briefs into visually stunning, edible works of art.
  • Prepare cake batters, fillings, and icings while adhering to recipe specifications, food safety regulations, and portion control guidelines.
  • Manage the full production workflow—from ingredient sourcing and inventory tracking to final presentation—ensuring on‑time delivery of orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and HACCP‑compliant work environment, performing regular sanitation checks and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to discuss design concepts, provide cost estimates, and adjust specifications based on feedback.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate junior bakers and decorators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and artistic excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new decorating techniques, and emerging flavor profiles, introducing innovative ideas to keep our menu fresh and competitive.
  • Document production processes, update recipe books, and assist in the development of seasonal product lines.
  • Utilize personal transportation to deliver large or delicate cakes to client locations within the Dieng and Malang areas, ensuring safe handling and punctual arrival.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a strong plus.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in cake decorating or commercial bakery environments.
  • Proven proficiency in piping, fondant modeling, sugar‑craft, airbrushing, and other advanced decorating techniques.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to interpret client concepts and transform them into realistic, edible designs.
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods; must be healthy and able to lift moderate loads.
  • Disciplined work ethic, punctuality, and a professional attitude toward food safety and hygiene.
  • Possession of a reliable personal vehicle for local deliveries.
  • Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English, both spoken and written.
  • Team‑player mindset with a willingness to mentor others and share knowledge.
