Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and detail‑oriented Corporate Finance Assistant to join our fast‑growing restaurant group. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the financial health of the company by overseeing daily cash flow, handling tax compliance, and supporting the accounting team with accurate record‑keeping. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance staff, vendors, and internal departments to ensure that all financial transactions are processed efficiently and in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow and record all financial transactions using the company’s accounting software.
- Prepare simple financial statements, perform bank and cash reconciliations, and identify any discrepancies.
- Control invoice processing, verify vendor bills, and oversee timely payments to suppliers and service providers.
- Maintain and monitor petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and periodic audits.
- Calculate, remit, and report routine taxes such as VAT (PPN), Income Tax (PPh 21), and withholding tax (PPh 23).
- Keep tax documentation up‑to‑date and coordinate with external tax consultants or authorities when needed.
- Stay informed on changes to Indonesian tax regulations and incorporate updates into internal procedures.
- Assist in month‑end closing activities, providing supporting schedules and explanations for any variances.
- Collaborate with the operations team to forecast cash needs for upcoming promotions, inventory purchases, and capital expenditures.
- Participate in internal audits and support external auditors by supplying required financial records.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Accounting or Finance; S1 preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in finance or accounting; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in the restaurant sector are welcome.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, MYOB, or local equivalents).
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to spot errors and suggest process improvements.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and honesty in handling confidential financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with vendors, auditors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to work on public holidays (tanggal merah) when business demands.
- Preferred: prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
