Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new dishes, providing creative input to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring all workstations are clean, sanitized, and compliant with local health regulations.
  • Manage inventory of perishable and non‑perishable ingredients, conduct daily stock checks, and communicate replenishment needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Coordinate with sous‑chefs and front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service, especially during peak hours.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food safety and consistency across all servings.
  • Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss performance, menu updates, and operational improvements.
  • Handle kitchen equipment responsibly, performing routine maintenance and reporting any malfunction promptly.
  • Adapt to shift changes and work weekends (Monday‑Saturday schedule) while maintaining high energy and focus.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fast‑service or upscale dining setting.
  • High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; culinary certificates are a plus.
