The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling transactions, supporting sales through cross‑selling and up‑selling, and ensuring the smooth flow of daily cash operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process cash, debit, and mobile payments, providing correct change and receipts for every transaction.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer by reconciling daily takings, reporting any discrepancies promptly to management.
- Prepare and present soft drinks, juices, and simple beverage orders in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Deliver food orders to tables or take‑away customers while adhering to the restaurant’s service standards.
- Identify guest needs and proactively suggest complementary items (cross‑selling) or premium upgrades (up‑selling) to increase average ticket value.
- Generate end‑of‑shift cash reports, including sales summaries, tips, and any refunds, using the POS system.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, such as counting cash, securing the register, and preparing the cash float for the next shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that countertops, equipment, and surrounding floors meet health‑code standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate order timing, resolve any payment‑related issues, and guarantee a seamless guest experience.
- Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a 24‑hour operation to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a cashier in a restaurant, café, or similar hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in operating POS and cash‑handling machines.
- Strong numeracy skills and an eye for detail when managing cash flow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; able to engage customers with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑traffic setting while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, to support the 24‑hour service model.
- Team‑player mindset with a willingness to assist in other areas such as basic food preparation or outlet cleaning when required.
