Introduction

This field‑based role focuses on identifying new borrowers, providing economic guidance to households, and ensuring the smooth execution of our loan programmes. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between Amartha and the communities we serve, helping to drive financial inclusion while building a rewarding career in the social‑impact sector.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively search for and engage potential borrowers in the Lebak Point Ciuyah region, presenting Amartha’s capital‑loan programmes and encouraging participation.
  • Conduct home visits and economic assessments to understand each household’s financial needs, business potential, and repayment capacity.
  • Perform detailed surveys and feasibility analyses on loan applications, ensuring compliance with Amartha’s internal policies, risk‑assessment frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear and concise recommendation reports for senior underwriting teams, highlighting strengths, risks, and suggested loan structures.
  • Manage the collection and repayment process, following up with borrowers, resolving payment issues, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
  • Provide ongoing financial literacy coaching and business development advice to borrowers, helping them to improve cash flow, expand operations, and achieve sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with the local Amartha office, sharing field insights, market trends, and community feedback to continuously refine outreach strategies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while operating in the field daily, adhering to safety protocols and representing Amartha’s values of integrity and transparency.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent (higher education is a plus).
  • Age range: 18‑30 years (maximum 33 years as per internal policy).
  • Gender: Open to all genders; female candidates are preferred to align with community outreach needs.
  • Own reliable motorcycle or car for daily field visits.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: honest, meticulous, communicative, resilient, and disciplined.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage time efficiently, and meet daily targets.
  • No prior experience required; however, prior exposure to micro‑finance, sales, or community development is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate loan applications against Amartha’s risk criteria.
  • Basic digital literacy: comfortable using mobile applications for data entry and reporting.
