Responsibilities
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to prepare a wide range of coffee and non‑coffee drinks according to company standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation for every beverage served.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide product recommendations that enhance the guest experience.
- Execute up‑selling and cross‑selling techniques, such as promoting seasonal drinks, pastries, and loyalty programs.
- Handle point‑of‑sale transactions efficiently, including cash handling, card processing, and end‑of‑day cash reconciliation.
- Keep the work area, equipment, and display cases clean and organized, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in inventory checks, restocking supplies, and notifying management of low stock or equipment issues.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on new brewing methods, menu updates, and customer service best practices.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth shift transitions and a positive workplace atmosphere.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in hospitality or culinary arts is a plus.
- Age 27 years or younger and not currently enrolled in any academic program.
- At least one year of proven barista experience in a fast‑paced coffee shop or café environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee bean origins, grind sizes, extraction times, and milk steaming techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for serving customers.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 kg when handling supplies.
- Positive attitude, optimism, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
- Willingness to be placed at our Balikpapan outlet on a permanent basis.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with a schedule of 08:00‑20:00 daily.
