Introduction
We are seeking a talented Proyek Desain dan Setter untuk Digital Printing to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will act as the critical bridge between customer design concepts and the final printed product, ensuring flawless execution on our state‑of‑the‑art digital printing presses. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented designer with strong technical knowledge of color management, layout optimization, and finishing processes within the fast‑moving packaging industry.
This position offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (08:00‑17:00) and provides an opportunity to grow your expertise while working on a wide variety of print projects ranging from labels and brochures to large‑format packaging.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre‑flight checks on incoming customer files, verifying format, resolution, bleed, and color profiles to match machine specifications.
- Set up print layouts (imposition) efficiently to maximize sheet usage, reduce waste, and meet tight production deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with the production crew to troubleshoot design‑related issues before mass printing begins, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Maintain an organized digital archive of all design files, version histories, and proof approvals for quick retrieval during repeat orders.
- Apply advanced color management techniques, selecting appropriate ICC profiles and calibrating monitors to guarantee color fidelity across different substrates.
- Assist customers with technical queries, offering guidance on file preparation, material selection, and finishing options such as lamination, varnish, or embossing.
- Continuously stay updated on emerging digital printing technologies, software updates, and industry trends to recommend process improvements.
- Support the quality assurance team by reviewing printed proofs and documenting any deviations for corrective action.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in graphic design or printing technology is preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in digital printing design and file preparation.
- Proficient in major graphic design applications: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
- Strong understanding of color management, material types (paper, film, flexible substrates), and finishing processes used in packaging.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to file checking and layout optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new software tools, printer models, and industry best practices.
