Responsibilities
- Transport and distribute heavy cargo to designated destinations in strict accordance with the daily delivery schedule.
- Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal mechanical condition and safety compliance.
- Secure loads using appropriate tie‑down equipment and verify that all cargo remains undamaged throughout the journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on the truck, including oil checks, tire pressure monitoring, and interior upkeep.
- Complete all required delivery documentation, such as waybills, load sheets, and incident reports, and submit them to the logistics coordinator promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices to minimize risk on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve any delivery issues or changes in route.
- Assist in loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of fragile or hazardous items.
- Participate in periodic safety drills and training sessions to stay current with evolving regulations and technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent (SMP level also acceptable).
- Valid SIM B1 or SIM A driver’s license with no restrictions.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a truck or expedition driver, preferably with heavy loads.
- Male gender as specified by the client’s operational policies.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws, route planning, and vehicle safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of driving and occasional manual loading tasks.
- Ability to use basic communication tools such as mobile phones or two‑way radios for real‑time updates.
