Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Representative to join our team in the Malang region of East Java. The role focuses on promoting and selling a leading line of tobacco products across a network of retail outlets. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring optimal product visibility, driving sales performance, and maintaining strong relationships with store owners and customers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in FMCG promotion who are eager to take ownership of a territory and exceed ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Install, arrange, and regularly refresh promotional materials (POP displays, posters, signage, wobblers, etc.) at designated retail outlets to maximize brand exposure.
  • Execute direct sales activities, presenting product benefits, handling objections, and closing sales to achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Conduct scheduled outlet visits to monitor promotional compliance, assess shelf stock levels, and ensure product availability aligns with market demand.
  • Gather competitive intelligence during store visits, reporting on rival promotions, pricing strategies, and consumer preferences to the regional manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, outlet feedback, and inventory status using company‑provided mobile tools.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and logistics teams to coordinate product deliveries, resolve stockouts, and plan special in‑store events.
  • Provide training and guidance to outlet staff on product positioning, merchandising standards, and effective point‑of‑sale communication.
  • Participate in periodic performance reviews and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of sales processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a D3 diploma is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a promoter, merchandiser, or sales representative in the FMCG sector, preferably within the tobacco industry.
  • Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM C) and personal motorcycle for traveling within the assigned territory.
  • Willingness to be stationed in the Malang area and travel extensively to cover all assigned outlets.
  • Proven ability to set up and maintain POP displays, with a good eye for visual merchandising.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and sales analysis skills.
  • Male candidates only, as stipulated by current operational requirements.
  • Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
