Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Javanese dishes according to standardized recipes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist in inventory management by receiving deliveries, verifying stock levels, and accurately recording quantities using basic accounting skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations and conducting regular sanitation checks.
- Support front‑of‑house operations during peak hours, including plating, serving, and handling customer inquiries in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems for order entry and cash handling, ensuring accurate transaction records.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to coordinate meal preparation, timing, and service flow, fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Monitor equipment functionality, report any maintenance issues promptly, and assist with routine equipment cleaning.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Open to all genders; however, the current opening specifically prefers female candidates for this shift.
- Strong numeracy skills for inventory tracking and cash handling.
- Prior experience in a kitchen setting, preferably with a focus on Javanese cuisine.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, both spoken and written.
- Physically and mentally fit to handle long standing periods and the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Excellent teamwork abilities, with a willingness to cooperate and communicate effectively with peers.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Residency within the Jombang area or the ability to commute reliably to the workplace.
- Familiarity with basic store management systems is a plus.
