Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader Sales Promoter to join our growing operations in Banyuwangi. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance across a designated territory, building strong relationships with merchants, and leading a team of enthusiastic sales promoters. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, ensuring that promotional programs meet or exceed their targets while maintaining the highest standards of brand representation.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for the assigned area by implementing effective sales strategies and monitoring daily performance.
- Conduct daily visits to merchants, establishing and nurturing relationships with key point‑of‑contact (PIC) store personnel to foster trust and repeat business.
- Oversee the execution of promotional programs, ensuring that all activities align with corporate objectives and that sales goals are consistently met.
- Coordinate the placement of point‑of‑purchase (POP) materials, ensuring optimal visibility and impact within each retail environment.
- Collaborate with partner operational teams to gather market intelligence, competitor activity, and field‑level issues, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of 15‑20 sales promoters, providing clear direction, motivation, and performance feedback.
- Monitor daily activities of promoters, reviewing attendance, sales logs, and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Design and deliver regular training sessions and refresher workshops to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, promotional effectiveness, and team productivity to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records in MS Office and Excel, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and forecasting future sales trends.
- Adapt to shifting work schedules, including weekends, to meet the operational demands of the business.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a diploma is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably within financial services (insurance, unit trusts, etc.) or consumer goods.
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing a field team of 10 + members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with merchants, internal stakeholders, and team members.
- Demonstrated marketing acumen, especially with social media platforms for promotional activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Flexibility to work shifting schedules, including Monday through Saturday, 11:00 – 20:00.
