This internship‑to‑associate pathway offers a structured environment where recent law graduates can apply academic knowledge, sharpen research capabilities, and contribute to real client engagements while receiving mentorship from seasoned attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on current case law, statutes, and regulations, ensuring that all findings are up‑to‑date and relevant to client matters.
- Draft memoranda, legal opinions, and preliminary pleadings under the supervision of senior lawyers.
- Assist in the preparation of court documents, contracts, and negotiation briefs, paying close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Participate in client consultations, taking notes, and summarizing key discussion points for follow‑up actions.
- Support the negotiation process by preparing position statements, gathering evidence, and presenting logical arguments.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as governmental agencies, NGOs, and corporate legal departments, to facilitate information exchange and joint case strategies.
- Maintain a well‑organized case management system, updating files and tracking deadlines to ensure compliance with procedural timelines.
- Engage in continuous learning activities, including workshops, webinars, and internal training sessions focused on emerging legal trends.
- Contribute ideas to improve internal processes, client communication protocols, and knowledge‑sharing platforms within the firm.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Law.
- Possession of a valid PKPA (Professional Legal Practice Certificate).
- At least 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to client interaction and case handling.
- Strong legal research skills with a proven ability to stay current on evolving case law and statutory changes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and actively contribute to the growth of the law firm.
- Preferred: Prior experience collaborating with external parties and residency in or near Madiun.
- Age limit: Maximum 30 years.
