Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Thrift Store Operations Manager to lead the daily activities of our growing second‑hand fashion outlet. This role is ideal for a young, energetic individual who is passionate about sustainable fashion, enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and is eager to develop leadership skills in a retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing store operations, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while promoting the values of reuse and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all store opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
- Supervise a team of sales associates, providing coaching, performance feedback, and schedule management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and oversee the intake and pricing of donated merchandise.
- Develop visual merchandising strategies that highlight seasonal trends and maximize sales of high‑margin items.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze daily reports, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for brand loyalty.
- Ensure the store meets cleanliness standards, organizes fitting rooms, and maintains an inviting atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan in‑store events, promotions, and community outreach initiatives.
- Train new hires on point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and store policies.
- Track overtime hours, prepare payroll inputs, and manage the allocation of overtime pay in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- Male, aged 17–25 years, unmarried.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Not currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, especially in the thrift and vintage market.
- Basic understanding of store management systems and POS technology.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
- Prior experience in retail or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.
