Introduction
Bina Artha Ventura is seeking a diligent and proactive Internal Control Officer to join our expanding team in the Central Java (Jawa Tengah) region, specifically supporting branches in the Purwokerto area. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the integrity of our operational processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and driving continuous improvement across all branch locations. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to branch managers, providing hands‑on coaching, rigorous monitoring, and actionable feedback that enhances both risk management and overall branch performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly on‑site visits to each Bina Artha Ventura branch to verify adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal control policies.
- Perform comprehensive audits of branch activities, including cash handling, loan processing, and documentation accuracy.
- Coach and re‑explain procedures to branch staff, fostering a deeper understanding of compliance requirements and operational best practices.
- Identify gaps or weaknesses in internal controls, prepare detailed reports, and propose corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine risk‑mitigation strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of audit findings, follow‑up actions, and status of remediation efforts.
- Support the credit department by reviewing credit marketing activities and providing insights that balance growth with risk exposure.
- Utilize MS Office tools to generate dashboards, trend analyses, and presentations for executive review.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Compliance, Credit) and external partners (e.g., regulators, auditors).
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of audit results, facilitating swift implementation of recommended improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Diploma 3 (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (D4) in any field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, credit analysis, credit marketing, or junior audit roles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external parties.
- Target‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using data analysis tools.
- Own vehicle and a valid driving license are required for frequent branch travel.
- Willingness to be based in the Purwokerto area and travel regularly to other Bina Artha branches.
