Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Pembantu Koki – Asisten Dapur Profesional to join our dynamic kitchen team. As an Assistant Kitchen Assistant, you will support the head chef and line cooks in preparing, cooking, and presenting a diverse range of dishes that meet our high standards of taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning according to recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Support the cooking process by monitoring cooking times, temperatures, and plating arrangements to ensure consistency.
- Perform basic cooking tasks such as boiling, sautéing, grilling, and baking under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, finished dishes, and seasoning levels to guarantee product excellence.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, labeling, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Collaborate closely with team members, offering assistance during peak service periods and stepping in for other kitchen stations when needed.
- Participate in regular training sessions on food safety, kitchen equipment handling, and new culinary techniques.
- Document any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages promptly to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
- Uphold the restaurant’s brand standards by presenting a professional appearance and demonstrating courteous communication with colleagues and guests.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of hands‑on experience in a similar kitchen or food‑service role; 6 years of experience is highly preferred.
- Strong personal presentation and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Readiness to start immediately or within a short notice period.
- Key skills: food quality control, adherence to recipes, hygiene maintenance, familiarity with international and traditional cuisine, seasoning control, and basic equipment upkeep.
- Open to all genders; no age limitation.
- Availability to work the scheduled shift: 09:00 – 17:00, with days off to be confirmed during the interview process.
