Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Kepala Bengkel Otomotif dan Manajemen Operasional to lead our automotive workshop and oversee daily operations. This full‑time position is based at our modern service center and offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00. As the head of the workshop, you will be the key liaison between technicians, customers, and senior management, ensuring that every vehicle receives top‑quality service while the workshop runs efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate work orders to meet production targets and customer deadlines, while balancing workload to avoid bottlenecks.
- Monitor workshop performance metrics such as turnaround time, first‑time fix rate, and labor efficiency, and report findings to senior management.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or shortages.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control checks, and health‑and‑safety regulations to maintain a compliant work environment.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to negotiate with suppliers and secure cost‑effective parts without compromising quality.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints, providing clear communication and swift resolutions to uphold the company’s reputation.
- Prepare and control the workshop budget, tracking labor costs, parts expenses, and overheads to meet profitability goals.
- Identify training needs and arrange technical upskilling sessions, encouraging staff to stay current with the latest automotive technologies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean processes or digital workflow tools, to increase operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
