Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized Spanish lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners, ensuring alignment with each student’s goals.
- Assess student progress through regular quizzes, speaking exercises, and written assignments, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain an engaging virtual classroom using tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards, and interactive language apps.
- Prepare lesson materials, including slides, worksheets, audio recordings, and cultural content to enrich the learning experience.
- Communicate clearly with students and parents (when applicable) regarding schedules, expectations, and performance reports.
- Stay current with modern Spanish teaching methodologies, incorporating communicative, task‑based, and immersive approaches.
- Manage your own teaching calendar, confirming session times and handling cancellations professionally.
- Participate in periodic training webinars and peer‑review sessions to continuously improve instructional quality.
- Uphold the platform’s code of conduct, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1) in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Native‑level fluency in both spoken and written Spanish, with the ability to explain complex grammar concepts clearly.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in formal or informal Spanish instruction is preferred, though enthusiastic newcomers with strong communication skills are welcome.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable conducting lessons online using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms; must own a reliable computer, webcam, headset, and stable internet connection.
- Soft Skills: Patience, strong interpersonal communication, adaptability, and a sense of responsibility toward student outcomes.
- Availability: Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00–17:00 (local time), with flexibility for occasional evening sessions to accommodate students in different time zones.
