Responsibilities
- Operate industrial and high‑speed sewing machines to construct garments according to detailed technical specifications.
- Produce flawless stitching for a range of products, including suits, shirts, dresses, and casual wear, ensuring consistency in seam allowance, tension, and finish.
- Read and interpret pattern layouts, cut marks, and work orders, making adjustments as needed to optimize fabric utilization.
- Perform quality checks on completed pieces, identifying and correcting any imperfections such as loose threads, uneven hems, or misaligned seams.
- Collaborate with the pattern‑making and design teams to suggest improvements that enhance garment fit, durability, and production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including regular machine maintenance, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, wearing appropriate protective gear and following proper handling procedures for sharp tools and heavy fabrics.
- Document production output daily and report any material shortages or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on new sewing technologies, fabric types, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Female candidates aged 18‑35 years (all genders welcome to apply; this age range reflects current production line staffing needs).
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; vocational training in garment construction is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate industrial sewing machines and high‑speed equipment with precision.
- Demonstrated skill in producing fine, neat stitching on both delicate and heavyweight fabrics.
- Strong sense of honesty, discipline, and responsibility; punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Prior experience in garment or confection manufacturing is an advantage, especially in tailoring formal wear.
- Basic literacy in Indonesian; ability to follow written work orders and safety instructions.
- Soft skills: good communication, teamwork orientation, problem‑solving attitude, and willingness to learn new techniques.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle fabric loads safely.
