Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Technical Pharmacy Officer to join our dynamic healthcare team. This full‑time position supports the daily operations of our hospital pharmacy, ensuring that medication management, compounding, and distribution processes run smoothly and safely. Responsibilities
- Assist senior pharmacists in the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of prescription and non‑prescription medicines.
- Perform accurate compounding of sterile and non‑sterile preparations according to SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, receiving shipments, and conducting regular expiry checks.
- Support medication reconciliation processes by verifying patient medication histories and updating electronic health records.
- Participate in the preparation of medication safety reports and assist with root‑cause analysis of any dispensing errors.
- Ensure the pharmacy work area complies with hygiene, safety, and infection‑control protocols.
- Provide courteous assistance to patients and healthcare staff, answering queries about medication usage and storage.
- Assist in the coordination of internal audits and external inspections from health authorities.
- Engage in continuous learning by attending workshops, seminars, and on‑the‑job training sessions related to hospital pharmacy practice.
- Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best‑practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Pharmacy or an equivalent SMK Pharmacy program.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
