Introduction
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable members to join our Production Team for dim sum at our state‑of‑the‑art culinary factory located in Jember. Responsibilities
- Prepare dough, wrappers, and a variety of fillings (meat, vegetable, seafood) according to standardized recipes.
- Assemble, shape, and steam dim sum items such as siomay, bakpao, and pangsit, ensuring consistent size and appearance.
- Operate and monitor kitchen equipment—including steamers, mixers, and refrigeration units—while performing routine cleaning and minor maintenance.
- Conduct visual and sensory quality checks at each production stage to meet taste, texture, and safety specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods; report shortages to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations (HACCP, SNI) and company sanitation protocols, including proper hand‑washing, equipment sterilization, and waste segregation.
- Package finished dim sum products for wholesale distribution, labeling each batch with production date and lot number.
- Collaborate closely with fellow production staff, shift leaders, and quality assurance personnel to achieve daily output targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement meetings, offering suggestions for workflow optimization and waste reduction.
- Assist in the training of new hires, demonstrating correct techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 17 years or older; candidates must not be currently enrolled in school or university.
- Gender: Open to all genders; however, the primary focus is on female candidates residing near UNMUI Jember and UNEJ campuses.
- Experience: No prior work experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Key Skills: Basic food service and kitchen handling abilities; quick learning, dexterity, and good hand‑eye coordination.
- Personal Attributes: Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and punctuality; ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
- Cleanliness Orientation: Commitment to maintaining a spotless work area and adhering to hygiene standards.
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg when handling bulk ingredients.
