Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions, and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient services, including routine check‑ups, immunizations, growth monitoring, and management of developmental disorders.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and senior consultants to coordinate multidisciplinary treatment pathways.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms specific to pediatric patients.
- Educate patients, parents, and caregivers on disease prevention, medication adherence, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in emergency pediatric resuscitations, triage, and stabilization procedures as part of the hospital’s on‑call roster.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and national health regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and peer‑reviewed journal clubs.
- Contribute to hospital quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and community outreach programs focused on child health.
- Adhere to all institutional protocols, infection control standards, and ethical guidelines governing medical practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of the Profesi Kedokteran Spesialis Anak program, with a valid and active Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR).
- Willingness to obtain a SIP (Surat Izin Praktik) as required by the hospital.
- Minimum educational background: SMA/SMK or equivalent; however, a medical degree is mandatory for the specialist role.
