Introduction

WAPO Sentul, a vibrant café and restaurant located in Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat, is seeking a dedicated Barista Professional to join our front‑of‑house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the barista plays a crucial role in delivering high‑quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including espresso‑based drinks, teas, cold brews, and seasonal specialties, strictly adhering to WAPO Sentul’s recipes and presentation standards.
  • Execute latte art and other creative coffee embellishments to enhance the visual appeal of each drink.
  • Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other consumables; conduct regular stock counts (stock opname) and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain and clean all coffee‑making equipment—espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and steam wands—to ensure optimal performance and food‑safety compliance.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the service bar, workstations, and customer‑facing areas, performing routine sanitation tasks according to health‑code regulations.
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service, answering menu questions, offering recommendations, and handling customer feedback gracefully.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to synchronize order flow, ensuring timely delivery of beverages alongside food items.
  • Assist in the development of new drink concepts and seasonal promotions, contributing ideas based on current trends and guest preferences.
  • Record daily sales, waste, and equipment maintenance logs, supporting the management team with accurate operational data.
  • Uphold WAPO Sentul’s brand values by promoting a positive, inclusive, and energetic work environment for both colleagues and patrons.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer‑service role within the food‑and‑beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, machine operation, and beverage preparation.
  • Demonstrated skill in latte art and a willingness to innovate with new drink designs.
  • Ability to perform accurate stock checks and handle inventory management tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage customers of diverse backgrounds.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays (Monday – Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg when handling supplies.
  • Passion for coffee culture and a commitment to delivering a memorable guest experience.
