Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Cook Assistant – Food Preparation Support Staff to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will play a vital role in ensuring that our food preparation processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist head chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, portioning, and marinating vegetables, meats, and seafood.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and fryers in accordance with safety protocols.
- Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help restock pantry and cold storage areas.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment after each shift.
- Support the kitchen team during high‑volume service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to the service line.
- Assist in the preparation of daily specials and seasonal menus under the direction of senior kitchen staff.
- Participate in regular health and safety briefings, and adhere to food safety regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
- Contribute ideas for improving workflow, reducing waste, and enhancing overall kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members, demonstrating strong communication and a willingness to help wherever needed.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Maximum 25 years old.
- Gender: Female.
- Experience: Prior work experience in a restaurant, café, or catering operation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment and follow standard food preparation techniques.
- Personal Attributes: Diligent, honest, responsible, and highly motivated to learn.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia (additional language skills are a plus).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast‑moving kitchen.
