Introduction
We are a reputable 4‑star hotel located in the heart of the city, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences. To maintain our high standards of cleanliness and comfort, we are seeking a dedicated Professional Laundry Staff (female) to join our housekeeping team. This role is critical in ensuring that all linens, garments, and hospitality textiles are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest quality, directly supporting the overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and categorize dirty linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments according to fabric type and washing instructions.
- Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and steam irons, adjusting settings for temperature, cycle length, and detergent dosage.
- Perform quality inspections on cleaned items, re‑wash or re‑press any pieces that do not meet hotel standards.
- Maintain an organized inventory of clean linens, ensuring timely restocking of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities.
- Log all laundry activities in the hotel’s management system using Android devices, tracking usage, loss, and replacement needs.
- Coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor to prioritize urgent requests, such as emergency laundry for VIP guests or special events.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols, including proper handling of chemicals, waste segregation, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests who request laundry services, explaining service options and turnaround times.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new washing technologies, fabric care techniques, and hospitality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Female candidates only; male applicants may be considered if they possess a valid motorbike driver’s license (SIM Motor).
- Age: up to 30 years old (flexible for exceptional candidates).
- No prior experience required, though experience in hotel or commercial laundry is highly preferred.
- Strong work ethic: honest, diligent, disciplined, and eager to learn.
- Excellent communication skills; polite, friendly, and able to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Basic proficiency with Android smartphones for logging tasks and accessing the hotel’s internal app.
- Availability to work full‑time, Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with no concurrent enrollment in school or university.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry loads of up to 15 kg repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow written procedures and adapt quickly to a fast‑paced environment.
