We are seeking a motivated and skilled Freelance Mandarin Tutor (Tentor Bahasa Mandarin) to join our growing language education platform. This position is ideal for recent graduates, current university students, or seasoned professionals who have a passion for teaching Mandarin Chinese and can deliver engaging, results‑driven lessons to a diverse learner base. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized Mandarin lessons for beginners to intermediate learners, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and interactive activities that align with the curriculum and learners’ goals.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, oral examinations, and regular feedback sessions, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain an engaging and supportive virtual classroom environment using video‑conferencing tools and digital whiteboards.
- Provide timely responses to student inquiries, homework assignments, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and curriculum designers to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of course content.
- Stay updated on the latest language‑teaching methodologies, cultural trends, and technological tools that enhance the learning experience.
- Adhere to the agreed‑upon schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, while respecting the freelance nature of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mandarin, Chinese Studies, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. Candidates pursuing a D3, S2, or S3 are also welcome.
- Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) with a solid grasp of Simplified and Traditional characters.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex linguistic concepts in clear, simple language.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer and collaboratively within a team of educators.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, but not mandatory; enthusiasm for language instruction is essential.
