Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Recreation and Leisure Services to join our hospitality team at a leading Accor property. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, fostering staff development, and contributing to sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee all recreational and leisure activities, ensuring they align with Accor’s global standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute a comprehensive portfolio of leisure programs, including fitness classes, sports tournaments, cultural events, and family‑friendly activities.
  • Lead, coach, and schedule a multidisciplinary team of recreation staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and professional growth.
  • Manage the budget for the recreation department, controlling costs while maximizing revenue through program fees, partnerships, and ancillary services.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards for all facilities, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring equipment is well‑maintained.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote programs, increase participation, and enhance the property’s brand reputation.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with local community groups, sports clubs, and educational institutions to broaden program reach.
  • Drive Accor’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives by integrating sustainable practices into recreational offerings.
  • Analyze guest feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve program quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to Accor’s global standards, brand guidelines, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on program performance, staffing needs, and financial results.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor’s degree) in Hospitality, Recreation Management, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Open to candidates of any gender; inclusive hiring practices are embraced.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation with proven ability to serve diverse guest profiles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in managing leisure or recreational programs is preferred, but fresh talent with a passion for the industry is welcomed.
  • Proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) and basic English to interact with international guests.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional evenings or weekends for special events.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and ESG principles.
