Introduction
PT Sora Bakery Group, the proud franchisee of TOUS les JOURS, is expanding its footprint across Indonesia with stores in Surabaya, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Bali, Medan, and now a brand‑new location in Solo (Paragon). We specialize in premium Korean‑style bakery and pastry products that blend traditional techniques with modern flavors. To support the launch of our Solo outlet, we are looking for a dedicated Staff Kitchen Bakery & Pastry (Cook/Baker) who can deliver consistently high‑quality baked goods while upholding our brand’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and knead doughs for a variety of breads, rolls, and viennoiserie following standardized recipes.
- Produce pastries, croissants, danishes, and specialty items, ensuring proper lamination, proofing, and baking times.
- Execute cake decoration tasks—including frosting, piping, and fondant work—especially for custom orders and special occasions.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, performing daily cleaning of workstations, ovens, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, request supplies, and conduct first‑in‑first‑out stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely replenishment of display cases and accurate product labeling.
- Assist in product development by testing new recipes, adjusting formulations, and providing feedback on taste and texture.
- Record production yields, batch numbers, and any deviations from standard procedures for quality control documentation.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age of 30 years.
- Minimum education: SMK (Vocational High School) with a focus on Culinary Arts, Baking, or Patisserie; high school diploma (SMA/SMK) acceptable.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience as a baker in a commercial bakery or pastry shop.
- Proven knowledge of bread production, dough fermentation, and pastry preparation.
- Experience in cake decoration is highly preferred.
- Strong work ethic, honesty, and a sense of responsibility.
- Completed COVID‑19 booster vaccination.
- Willingness to work early‑morning shifts (05:00 – 13:00) from Tuesday to Sunday.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately, work under pressure, and maintain consistency across batches.
