Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team and lead the preparation, analysis, and reporting of our company’s financial statements. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and for providing strategic insights that drive sound business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast‑moving corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indonesian GAAP and IFRS.
- Analyze balance sheet items and profit‑and‑loss accounts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary financial data and ensure timely closing of books.
- Maintain and improve the chart of accounts, ensuring accurate classification of all transactions.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing historical data analysis and variance explanations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local regulations and deadlines.
- Lead internal audit preparations and respond to external auditor inquiries with supporting documentation.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures, leveraging automation tools where appropriate.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing environment.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, emerging accounting standards, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 1–2 years of professional experience in corporate accounting, preferably within manufacturing or service industries.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet preparation, profit & loss reporting, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
- Soft skills: adaptability to change, effective communication, risk evaluation, and quick learning.
