Introduction

The Area Service Cleaning Coordinator plays a pivotal role in maintaining a pristine and safe environment across multiple facilities within our service region. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Coordinator ensures that cleaning operations are executed efficiently, meet rigorous quality standards, and align with our company’s commitment to hygiene excellence. This position is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, physically capable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, shift‑based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for a team of custodial staff covering all assigned locations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify that cleaning procedures adhere to company standards and health‑safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, security, and operations) to ensure seamless service delivery and address any facility‑related issues promptly.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and personal protective gear; place orders and track usage to control costs.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to new hires, reinforcing best practices in sanitation, waste handling, and equipment operation.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports, incident logs, and quality‑control documentation for senior management review.
  • Implement corrective actions when cleaning standards fall short, and recognize high‑performing team members.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and corporate sustainability initiatives, such as proper chemical storage and waste recycling.
  • Manage shift rotations, overtime allocation, and staff attendance records to guarantee adequate coverage from Monday through Saturday.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client feedback, addressing concerns quickly to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in cleaning services, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, supervisors, and clients.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities, including time‑management, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of health‑and‑safety standards, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Proactive problem‑solving attitude, with the capacity to lead a team through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
