Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Part‑Time Barista to join our fast‑growing coffee‑shop network, Prima Coffee. This role is ideal for individuals who love coffee culture, thrive in a dynamic environment, and enjoy interacting with a diverse clientele. The position offers a flexible shift system, with work days primarily from Thursday to Sunday, allowing you to balance studies, another job, or personal commitments while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages to the highest quality standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, courteous manner, taking orders, answering product questions, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all equipment (grinders, espresso machines, milk frothers) is sanitized and in proper working condition.
- Manage cash registers and point‑of‑sale systems, accurately handling payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling daily sales.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and packaging supplies; report low stock and assist with restocking as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and health regulations, performing routine cleaning schedules and conducting regular equipment checks.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak periods and special events.
- Contribute ideas for new drink recipes, promotional offers, and store layout improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 26 years old or younger.
- Gender: All genders are welcome.
- At least 1 year of experience in a coffee shop, café, or related customer‑service role. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for coffee are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, high energy, and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to speak confidently in front of customers.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a genuine love for coffee is a plus.
- Availability to work 8‑hour shifts, a minimum of four days per week, including weekends, religious holidays, and national holidays.
- Flexibility to adapt to rotating shift schedules set by the store manager.
- Ability to handle product packaging, maintain visual merchandising standards, and present a tidy work environment.
