Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Barista (Part‑Time) to join our vibrant café team in Cilacap. As a barista, you will be the face of our brand, crafting specialty drinks, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso‑based beverages, teas, and light food items in strict accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the service area, coffee machines, grinders, and all related equipment throughout the shift.
- Accurately take customer orders, operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handle cash and card transactions, and issue receipts.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposable supplies, and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours, including coordinated drink preparation and order delivery.
- Participate in regular training sessions, product knowledge workshops, and on‑the‑job coaching provided by the Leader or Supervisor.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, allergen awareness, and emergency procedures.
- Provide personalized service by remembering regular customers’ preferences, suggesting menu items, and handling feedback with professionalism.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in the food‑and‑beverage (F&B) industry, specifically as a barista.
- Strong passion for coffee culture and a willingness to learn new brewing techniques quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a service‑oriented mindset.
- Basic proficiency in English is a plus, especially for serving tourists or expatriates.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, and stay organized under pressure.
- Reliable, disciplined, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays; schedule typically 6 days per week, 07:00–20:00.
- Team‑player attitude with the capability to support colleagues during busy periods.
