Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Community Officer to join our micro‑finance and women‑empowerment team in Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat. This role is focused on building strong relationships with low‑income women entrepreneurs, providing them with tailored business support, financial literacy training, and access to group‑based financing without collateral. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about social impact, enjoys meeting new people, and is ready to contribute to the economic uplift of underserved communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field visits to assigned villages and neighborhoods, establishing trust with women‑run micro‑enterprises.
  • Deliver hands‑on workshops on basic bookkeeping, budgeting, disciplined saving, and effective use of micro‑loans.
  • Facilitate group financing arrangements, coordinate disbursement of capital, and monitor repayment cycles to ensure timely loan servicing.
  • Listen actively to client needs, assess business challenges, and propose practical, culturally appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, training attendance, and financial performance using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Collaborate with internal credit officers, product specialists, and local partners to streamline service delivery.
  • Report weekly on outreach metrics, success stories, and any obstacles encountered, recommending improvements to program design.
  • Promote the organization’s mission through community events, local media, and social networks, enhancing brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Female candidates only, aged 18‑33 years.
  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s (S1) degree is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Detail‑oriented with good organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and data management.
  • Adaptability, problem‑solving mindset, and a genuine passion for community development.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and work flexible hours as needed.
