Responsibilities
- Plan, plant, and maintain a diverse range of tropical flora, including ornamental trees, flowering shrubs, and groundcover species, in accordance with the resort’s landscaping design.
- Perform regular pruning, dead‑heading, fertilizing, and pest‑management activities to promote healthy growth and vibrant displays.
- Design and implement seasonal garden themes, decorative displays, and event‑specific arrangements that enhance guest experiences.
- Monitor soil conditions, irrigation systems, and drainage to ensure optimal moisture levels and prevent water‑related issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of public lawns, pathways, and garden furniture, promptly addressing any safety hazards or aesthetic concerns.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and facilities teams to coordinate garden upkeep with guest activities and resort events.
- Maintain an organized inventory of gardening tools, chemicals, and supplies, ordering replacements as needed while adhering to budget guidelines.
- Train and supervise junior garden staff or seasonal helpers, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous learning.
- Document garden maintenance schedules, work logs, and any incident reports, ensuring transparent communication with management.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives, such as composting organic waste, using eco‑friendly fertilizers, and promoting native plant species.
Requirements
- Age: 22–30 years.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional gardening or horticulture experience, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
- Basic proficiency in English to follow written instructions and communicate with international guests.
- Commitment to a minimum 1‑year contract with Kimo Resort; no abrupt resignations.
- Strong personal attributes: honesty, discipline, responsibility, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent collaboration skills.
- Strict adherence to a no‑mobile‑phone policy during working hours to maintain focus and safety.
- Capability to perform under pressure, especially during peak tourism seasons and special events.

- Willingness to be stationed on Pulau Banyak for the duration of the contract.
